Ingredients
  • 1 piece of shortcrust dough
  • 75 g smoked bacon
  • 150 g grated Emmental cheese
  • 40 cL of fresh cream
  • 4 eggs
  • salt, pepper
Preparation
  1. Unroll the dough in the pie dish and prick the bottom.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C for 15 minutes.
  3. Bake the pricked shortcrust dough for 5 minutes in the oven and take it out.
  4. Arrange the grated Emmental and the bacon on the bottom of the pie.
  5. In a salad bowl, beat the eggs with the cream and season.
  6. Pour this mixture over the bacon in the bottom of the pie.
  7. Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes and serve hot.

RemarksFor those who like a gratin version, place the grated Emmental cheese at the end on the mixture and not before on the bottom of the pie.
Leave the baking paper in the mold: it will allow you to easily remove the pie after cooking to place it and cut it in another dish so as not to damage the mold.
